The PCE-CL 20 Cable Detector allows the detection of live and voltage-free lines. The Cable Detector detects nearby electric cables and gas or water pipes located in the wall or in the ground, making it is possible to recognize short circuits and fuses. This makes the Cable Detector very useful before drilling to investigate the corresponding wall or floor, to ensure that lines are not powered or in the way. The Cable Detector consists of two individual units: the receiver unit and a signal generator.
In order to be useful in dark environments, both devices of the PCE-CL 20 Cable Detector are equipped with a luminous function. For the perfect lighting, three LEDs are provided on both devices. In addition to the lighting function, it is also possible to activate the backlight on the receiver unit.
