The force gauge measures both tensile and compressive forces with very high resolution. The tensile force and the compressive force are often determined in the test laboratory, for example, to determine the yield strength, the pull-off force, and the force required to actuate a push-button or switch. The force gauge is supplied with an external measuring cell. Depending on the model, the force gauge can measure up to 10,000 N / 2,248 lbs. Models for 1,000 N / 225 lbs, 2,500 N / 562 lbs and 5,000 N / 1,124 lbs are still available. Various eyelets or hooks with M10 or M12 thread can be adapted to the measuring cells, but your own devices with this thread can be mounted on the measuring cell.

The force gauge is equipped with a USB interface. This interface makes it possible to read the measurement data into the PC software. This makes it possible to create measurement logs and save and export them. The force gauge has a graphic LCD that displays the measured values both numerically and graphically. Furthermore, the force measuring device is protected to IP54 and can therefore also be used in harsh industrial environments, as well as train and pressure tests can be carried out outdoors in bad weather conditions easily.

Various force test stands are available for adaptation to the force gauge. The internal memory and the included hooks, extensions and tips complete the performance of this force gauge. A special feature of the PCE-DFG N force gauge is that the measuring cells are interchangeable among the models. By entering the sensitivity in mV / V, all measuring cells can be used with just one handheld device.
