A gloss meter is a tester for determining surface gloss. Thereby, with the glossmeter, spectral reflections of a light beam that hits the surface, are measured. The touch screen allows for easy navigation.
The gloss meter is applied especially in areas where it is important that the surfaces have thesame structure, and thus have the same surface characteristics. This often happens in quality control. Thus, the gloss meter is a measuring instrument which can be used in many different companies.
Included with this gloss meter there is also a CD-Rom with special evaluation software. So the measured data can be first stored on the device and later transferred to a computer. The software of the gloss meter also has an analysis function that serves for precise evaluation.
