The NDT tester PCE-GM 55 is a 3-angle gloss meter. The measuring angles of the gloss meter are 20°, 45° and 75°. This allows the NDT tester to be used for gloss measurements in the high gloss and medium gloss ranges. The special measuring angle of 75° allows, among other things, measurements of the degree of gloss on paper and textiles. The NDT tester is based on the ASTM, DIN and EN ISO standards. The measuring range of the gloss meter ranges from 0 ... 200 gloss units.
The measurement of the gloss level with the NDT tester is made by the reflection of light from the surface to be measured. The gloss level is continuously measured and simultaneously displayed on the LC display of the NDT tester. Via the integrated interface, the measured values can be transferred from the gloss meter to a PC. To power a Li-Ion battery is used. This can be charged via a 5V power supply.
