Paint viscosity tester are suitable for determining the flow time of Newtonian / near-Newtonian liquids and are often used in laboratories and industrial production. For handling, the nozzle must be closed and the material to be measured must be poured into the flow cup. By placing the glass plate on the cup, you create a vacuum, which enables the cup to be placed in the tripod for time measurement. When the glass plate is then pulled from the flow cup, the measurement can be started. As soon as the flow comes to a standstill, the time must be stopped. For a relative value, this method is perfectly adequate in many areas. To ensure the accuracy of the cup, it is important to clean it after each use. It is important to ensure that the surface inside the cup is not damaged. Any scratches or dried material residues will affect the further measurements.
