Corentium HOME is a handheld, portable radon radiation detector or radon monitor for measuring and recording radon gas concentrations over time. This long-term radon monitoring solution calculates average ratios per day or week. This digital device also determines the cumulative value for a whole year.
Do not install the radon monitor on a wall or it could lead to false results. Instead, it is advised to set the radon monitor down with its display upturned. Furthermore, the radon monitor should be used in basements, cellars, stairwells or rooms somehow connected to the underground. Position the device at least 25 cm / 9.85 " away from walls and at least 50 cm / 19.7 " above the floor. Approximately five minutes after inserting the batteries, a measurement indicator will start blinking in the upper right corner of the display. This indicates that the radon monitor is processing measurements. If during the measuring process the display indicates "ERR ###," the batteries need to be replaced. The symbol "9999 Bq/m³" signals that the radon monitor has reached its maximum displayed value. It also indicates a significantly raised radon concentration that could severely affect your health if immediate precautions are not taken.
